The 50-year-old actor - who has had well documented tax issues over the years - has been hit with a lawsuit over his massive tax debt according to Radar Online on Tuesday.

Court documents obtained by the publication read: 'Mr. Tucker is a comedian and actor who was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood in the late 1990s and early 2000s, starring in the Rush Hour film series.

'The early tax years at issue in this case date back to this time.'

It is alleged that Tucker's tax debt had grew up to $11million.

Then the following year it is claimed that he said he would pay double $50K a month for six months along with proceeds from an upcoming film.

Tucker - who only starred in 2012's Silver Linings Playbook at the time - apparently vowed to make a lump sum payment of $2million.

However, the star allegedly failed to pay that amount after the IRS said they would reject any proposed payment plan because they believed that the actor had the resources to pay his tax bill.

The site reports that Tucker and his team have attempted to work out different payment plans over the years but did make several lump sum payments throughout including $900K in 2011 from the sale of his Georgia home.

Radar's documents also say that an IRS officer had rejected another payment plan because Tucker could liquidate assets to pay off his debt as he made various monthly payments in different amounts.

The site also claims that the last set of payments appear to have been made two years ago in 2019 as the legal documents read: 'Mr. Tucker made monthly payments in the amount of $37,800 beginning on June 23, 2017, before defaulting on February 27, 2019.'

His highly-popular franchise with Jackie Chan has been rumored to be returning with Rush Hour 4 in recent years  and though discussions have happened nothing production-wise has been confirmed yet.

The last installment was Rush Hour 3 which was released in 2007.
