Carson Group Chief Marketing Officer Jud Mackrill Leaves To Start Fintech Firm Milemarker

Carson Group’s chief marketing officer, Jud Mackrill, has stepped down after more than two years to co-found Charleston, South Carolina-based fintech startup Milemarker. The Fintech Firm assists advisors  with their data.

According to the company website, Milemarker “is a specialized team of seasoned experts who are focused on solving the key data and integration problems that are hindering progress inside of today’s leading financial services companies.”

Speaking with ThinkAdvisor, Mackrill said the new company was “built to solve the integration problem that is halting technology and experience advancement among financial services firms.” He added, “We partner with IBDs, aggregators, custodians and large RIAs to help them better control and deploy data-driven solutions and unified experiences,” said Mackrill, who is the fintech firm’s CEO.”

Jud’s wife, Kim Mackrill, is also a co-founder of Milemarker and serves as its chief marketing officer. Previously, she was a creative director and then a senior vice president of marketing at Carson Group.

Paul Kent Graeve is Milemarker’s chief technology officer. Prior to the new fintech firm, in 2016 he founded data.simple. Mark Smith is Milemarker’s other co-founder. He has been a data programmer at data.simple since 2019.
