The Ultimate Urban Glamping Experience In Beverly Hills

Visitors to Beverly Hills are now almost guaranteed to see stars with the launch of the first Urban Glamping experience on the stunning Veranda Suite terrace of the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel.

I have spent many evenings in the expansive suite and have fond memories of its enormous 2,140sf outdoor terrace with views of the Hollywood Hills and Rodeo Drive. Located 10 floors up, guests access the suite through a vintage wrought iron and marble staircase, which opens into the only room in the hotel with its own floor.

According to the hotels GM Ben Trodd, “As we approach our 90th anniversary next year, we’re exploring new, experiential avenues for guests to rediscover our iconic property. Given the sweeping cityscape views and the storied, celebrity past of our Veranda Suite, we knew this would be the perfect way to embrace its glamour. We’re thrilled with the result—it’s truly the ultimate luxury glamping experience with an urban twist.”

The glamping experience is sure to be a popular attraction for visitors wanting the perfect Instagram moment.

Featuring a large 16-foot diameter tent, 10 feet tall in the center, and offering the Four Seasons bed that I have come to love as well as Four Season's linens.

The lavish furnishings include a crystal chandelier, marble lamps, fur rugs, and antique nightstands.

Out on the terrace, oversized lounge furniture surrounds a fireplace, and outdoor dining for eight enriches the glamping experience.

Guests who reserve the Veranda Suite also have full access to the large, one-bedroom suite, which features a king-size bed, walk-in closet, marble bathroom, and modern amenities. Perfect for an extended family retreat in the city.

Guests can also include an exclusive glamping tasting menu prepared on the veranda by the hotel's Executive Chef. Starting at $185 per person, the menu features items like “Special Reserve” Ossetra Caviar and Japanese “Mishima” Ultra Wagyu Beef, in addition to custom picnic table favorites.

Celebrity Chef Chris Ford will add his own personal touch during the evening with Campfire S’mores made with 24k gold leaf, Tahitian vanilla bean marshmallow, and a smoked 55% Valrhona chocolate bar paired with a vintage Champagne flight. Now, this is the kind of camping I like!

The Urban Star Spotting Glamping experience in the Veranda Suite runs through December 2017 and starts at $3,500.
