(Globe) - Amy Schumer and estranged husband Chris Fischer have parted ways with their iconic New York City brownstone after accepting an offer for much less than they originally paid, according to Realtor.com.
The Brooklyn Heights property, built in 1829, was made famous by the 1987 film, Moonstruck — starring Nicolas Cage and Cher — in which it was used in exterior scenes for the Castorini family home.
Schumer, 44, purchased the 5,600-square-foot brownstone in 2022 for $12.25 million.
The former couple decided to sell the house back in March to be closer to their 5-year-old son Gene’s school.
“He got into a good school and we’re too lazy to commute 45 minutes to take our son to school every day,” the Trainwreck star told Wall Street Journal, after listing the home for $14 million.
The stunning home, which the couple renovated to fit their needs, includes a wine cellar, a gym and a primary bedroom that takes up an entire floor.
After sitting on the market for months, Schumer and Fischer ultimately sold the home for $11 million, which is $1.25 less than they originally paid just three years ago, Realtor.com reported on Saturday, December 13.
The I Feel Pretty star announced her divorce from the chef via Instagram earlier this month.
“Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” she wrote in the since-deleted post. “Blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag [a] basket and not because he’s a hot Janimes [sic] Beard Award-winning chef who can still pull some hot tail. We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son.”
